I attend meditation classes, religious events, and social events at the Great Lakes Buddhist Vihara. I also contribute to their annual fundraising activities as well as to special projects done at the Vihara.
In 2008, I began a two year term as a member of the Board of Trustees where I hold the position of secretary.

Katina
I have the priviledge of sponsoring the 2009 Katina Ceremony which will be held on October 18. On October 17, there will be a chanting ceremony in my home which will be open to the larger community.
I plan to invite family, friends, and colleagues to attend all/part of the chanting ceremony and to join us for the dinner that follows. Although the chanting ceremony is a religious event, “tourists” are welcome. And because Buddhism does not have a tradition of prostylitizing, you will not have to worry about anyone trying to convert you.
Individuals interested in learning more about the Katina events are welcome to e-mail me.
Photographing Events
During the past couple of years, I have photographed many events at the Great Lakes Buddhist Vihara. Galleries of Dhamma releated events are available on-line.
