“Michigan Universal Health Care Access Network (MichUHCAN) is a state-wide network that promotes comprehensive health care for all through education, strategy development and advocacy.”

During Spring 2009, Valerie Przywara and other MichUHCAN contacts worked with my students on health care research. The end result of that research was a symposium on Health Reform and the Obama Administration which was held at Schoolcraft College on 16 June 2009.

My student Grant Winchester worked on a special project for MichUHCAN in which he did research for a grant concerning women’s health care issues. Mr. Winchester and I attended MichUHCAN’s annual fundraising dinner on 19 June 2009.

On 13 May 2009, I attended a lobby day in Lansing with Ms. Przywara. I also went with her to a meeting held with Congressman McCotter’s staff on 29 April 2009. At this meeting, my role was to address how insurance issues impact students.

Finally, as a way to support their work, I have supplied MichUHCAN with some of my original stationery for them to use for thank-you notes and so forth.
